Today was a day spent farting around Tacoma with my Aunt and her partner Chuck. We got to see the new house they are moving into, and see what they believe is everyday life in Tacoma. This, combined with our trip on Friday to the Tacoma Lawn and Tennis Club has convinced me that the rich live very different lifes then the rest of us.
And they all are beautiful.
Tacoma, despite its rampant gang life and apparent connection to the LA drug trade, fits a lot of stereotypes about the life of the rich and the Pacific Northwest.
-There are about four starbucks on the street outside of our hotel.
-Gardening shops are apparently the rage and all people do
-Old ugly guys marry young good looking girls a lot
-Tennis is not a hobby, but a lifestyle
-The local native american images are used everywhere, and not by the natives
Well, off to the wedding reception to eat very expensive food. Tomorrow I go on a very long flight to end up in Shanghai.
